July 27th - August 2nd, 2026

David Sapp traveled to Norwalk, California, to represent 606 Athletics well on one of the largest and most competitive stages in youth track and field: the USATF Junior Olympics! In both the 1500m and 3000m, he set new personal records AND finished well above his initial ranking.

1500m: 4:20.56 - PR

  • Entered ranked 25th, finished 18th of 41

3000m: 9:30.86 - PR

  • Entered ranked 12th, finished 9th of 23

These performances serve as the capstone to a phenomenal summer season. David's dedication, consistency, and self-discipline have been evident every step of the way as he has continued to raise the bar for his own athletic success.

His commitment to the sport was on full display throughout his time at the national meet as he competed alongside some of the best youth distance runners in the nation and proved he belonged among them!

Along with David, 606 Athletics had two additional athletes qualify for this year's Junior Olympics: William Gonzalez (3000m - 13/14M) and Daniel Volk (800m - 13/14M, 1500m - 13/14M).

We're incredibly proud of these young men and are excited to see what the future holds!
